thata complete setof alphanumeric charactem will
appear w iththe startof thealphabet i n capital l etters
followedbythe lowercase l etters andthennumbers
andsymbols. Whenyoupressthe • Navigation
Button lil_. a seriesof symbols a ndnumbers will
appear, followedbya reverse listof thealphabet i n
lowercase l etters. P ressthe button eitherwayuntilthe
firstletterof the desired nameappears. Ifyouwishto
entera blankspaceasthe firstcharacteT, press the _.

When the desired character a ppeam, pmsathe_.
NavigationButton _ andrepeat t he process for
the nextletteT, andcontinue un11 t he desired nameis
entered, u pto a maximum of 14 charactera. Press
the Set Button _ to enterthe inputnameintothe
system memory andto proceed withthe configuration
process.
If yoursystem includes anysources thatareequipped
withY/PFPbcomponent videooutputs, theAVR635
is ableto switch themto sendthe propersignals to
yourvideodisplay. Eachof thelwo Component
VideoInputs_) maybeassigned to anysource
foraddedsystem flexibility. Thedefaultsetting is for
the Component V ideo 1 Jacks_ to be assigned
to the DVD and6/8 Channel Directinputs, w iththe
ComponentVideo2 Jacks _) assigned to all other
inputs. I fyoursystem doesnot include component
videoat thistime.or if youdo notneedto change
thesedefaults, pressthe • NavigationButton
to go to the nextsetting.
Tochange the Component Videoassignment, first
makecertain thatthe -->curaor is pointing to the
C0 MP 0 N EN T I N lineon the menuscreen.

nameof the desired digital i nputappears. Toreturn
to theanaloginput, p ressthe buttonuntilthe word
ANALOG
appears.
Whenconfiguring t he digitalinputfora sourcedevice
suchasa digitalcableboxor othersettop tuner
product w itha digital a udiooutputwhere youhave
connected boththe digital a ndanalogoutputs of the
source to the AVR. s electtheappropriate d igitalinput
on thismenu. T hedigital s ource will become the
default, a ndtheAVRwillalwayslooktherefirstto
seewhether a signal i s present. H owever. if thedigital
datastreamis interrupted f orany reason, t heAVRwill
automatically switch to the analog connection a sa
backup. T hisis particularly useful w henconfiguring
the connection f or digital s ettop boxes, w here some
channels f eature digitalsound, b ut others do not.
Tochange thedigitalinputat anylimeusingthedis
cretefunction buttons andthesemiOSDsystem.

Within5 seconds, makeyourinputselection using
