ChannelPunch-Through
Channel punchthrough abxs the Channel Up/Down
buttons to sendcommands t o a differe.nt devicethan
the oneselected torothercommands. Forexample,
youmaywishto usea cableboxor satellite receiver
as thesource for aVCR, s o youwouldwantthe
ChannelUp/DownButtons_ to transmit c orn
mands to the cableboxeventhough the otherbutton
commands a reprogrammed to operate he VCR
Toprogram the re.mote f or channel punchthrough,
followthesesteps. T hisexample willshowhowto
program channel p unch throughsothatthe com-
mands pre.grammed forChannel Up/Down forthe
VID3/Cabledevice will betransmitted whenthe
VID1NCRdevicehasbeenselected asthe

1. Press andholdthe ProgramButton _ for
