memory.
Backlight Options
TheAVR635's remotehasa built-inbacklight s ystem
thatmakes it easier t o usethe remote whenthe morn
lighting is dimmedforan opllmal h ometheater e xperi
ence. T oturnthe backlighting o n, simply pressthe
Light Button _.
Thatbuttonismadefrom aspe
cial"glow"material thatmakesit easier to find indark
rooms. T hisglowfeature doesnot useanybattery
power, s othe glowwillfadewhenthe remoteiskept
ina darkroomforan extended periodof time. Y ou
may"recharge" i t by placing theremoteinnormal
roomlighting for a fewhours.
Oncethe Light Button _
is pressed, the remote's
backlighting w illremainon br approximately 7 sac
onds, a ndwhenyoupressanybuttonon the remote
whilethe backlighting i son, the lightwillstayon for
another 7 seconds. However, theremote's "Couch"
function willconserve battery powerbyturningboth
the backlighting a ndthe LCDdisplay off whenany
buttonis pressed for morethan30 seconds.
Youmayalsoconfigure theremote so thatthe back
lighting wincomeon, anytimea buttonis pressed.
Tosetthisoption,fobw thesesteps:
1. Press andholdthe ProgramButton _
for

Figure 24 appears inthe remote's LCDdisplay.
Release thebuftonwhenthe redlightunderthe

appears.
