13 ALARMS, WARNING AND DEVICE RESPONSE TO BLACKOUTS

This section provides instructions for interpreting alarm messages and taking any appropriate measures. Information
supplied in compliance with IEC 61010-2-040.
The messages relating to operating anomalies are divided into two groups on the basis of their severity:
1. Warnings: alerts provided to the user, who must acknowledge them (e.g. low detergent level
alert).
The user must respond to the alert by restoring correct operating conditions (e.g. replacing an
empty jerry can of detergent with a new can of the same product).
2. Alarms: notifications of device malfunctions.
Alarms shut down the cycle in progress and notify the user. The user must refer to the table of
alarms and follow the recommended course of action.
Device response to power blackouts.
a. In case of blackout – with a washing cycle in progress: when he power supply is restored
the device responds as if the cycle had been interrupted by the user. The device deals with
the situation automatically, performing a reset cycle which drains the water from the tank
and cools it if the temperature inside is high. At the end of the reset, the interface shows the
"FAIL" screen, to clearly indicate that the cycle which was running previously has failed.
b. In case of blackout – cycle not in progress: when the power is restored the device's graphic
interface returns to the initial screen, with no particular actions on the inputs/outputs.
The device records alarms and warnings in its internal memory.
N.B.: some events may be classified as alarms or warnings depending on how the product's parameters are
set. The full identification provided on the display defines their status.
