Operation

8.1

Introduction

For easier operation you can equip the Dispenser with an HMI to display a user interface.
Alternatively, Dispenser and charging station are also available as equipment variant without
HMI. In this variant, the main source of the status is the LED indicator.
8.2

Operation without HMI

When using the equipment variant without HMI, the status of the charging point is displayed
via LEDs. You can only monitor the charging process via external interfaces (such as the
vehicle itself). The LEDs can indicate the following status information:
• Lit green
The charging point is available and ready for charging
• Flashing green
Vehicle detects that the connection/handshake is being established and waits for approval
for the charging process. The handshake may take up to a minute.
• Lit red
An error is active at the charging point. Charging is not possible.
• Flashing blue
Charging process at the charging point.
Charging the vehicle
To charge the vehicle, proceed as follows:
1. If the charging point lights is lit green, the charging point is free and ready to operate.
2. If an RFID card reader is installed, then hold the RFID card to the card reader. If reading is
successful, the card reader emits an acoustic signal and the reader LED flashes.
3. Connect the charging cable to the vehicle.
