Charging cable Combo 2
The Dispenser is equipped with a charging cable for charging electric vehicles with direct
current. The charging cable enables charging of electric vehicles with a CCS Combo 2
charging socket according to the standard IEC 62196-3.
Charging contacts
To safely transmit the high charging power, the Combo 2 connector of the charging cable
uses the following charging contacts:

Locking
Charging mode 4 for DC charging according to IEC 61851-1.
Charging mode 4 requires secure locking of the charging plug and the charging socket of the
vehicle during the entire charging transaction. After you have plugged in the plug, an
electromechanical actuator in the electric vehicle automatically locks the plug-in connection.

Use
Vehicle and Dispenser communicate via the signal contact CP
The PE grounding contact protects the device in case of a faulty
cable connection
The electric vehicle uses the PP contact to detect the physical con
nection even when there is no CP signal.
The DC- contact forms the negative pole for direct current charging
The DC+ contact forms the plus pole for direct current charging
