17. Using a 1/2 inch wrench, install the 2 (5/16 inch) nuts to secure the lower
portion of the muffler guard to the chassis.
18. Connect the battery by installing the positive cable first, then the negative
cable to the battery.
19. Lower the machine.
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage the PTO. Stop the
engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key. Engage the
parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative cable first, then the positive
cable from the battery.
3. Using a floor jack, raise the rear of the machine and secure with jack stands.

6. Disconnect the wire harness from the clutch. Release the wire harness from
the mounting clip.
