5. Click Test Communication to test the connection. This may take a
few seconds.
If connection to the device was established, the Chromeleon
¨
software displays a box showing the model variant of the device.
If the Chromeleon software displays a message that the
¨
connection failed, or if a wrong serial number is displayed, you
may have selected the wrong COM port. Try a different COM
port and test the connection again.
6. Save the installation and close the Instrument Configuration
Manager.
