The transient voltage is the actual peak voltage above the normal
AC voltage from the power source.
The voltage limits for power and data cables are:
• 2 kV S/W recoverable errors
• No hardware failures
The power cable voltage limits are:
• 2.0 kV common mode (no errors allowed)
• 1.0 kV differential mode (S/W recoverable errors, no hardware
failure)
Note: Maximum energy in a single pulse from the transient
generator must be limited to 2.5 W.
This section lists the ESD failure level limits for normal operator
access areas.
