4) Secure the adapter on the check socket such that the prosthesis can withstand the loads
occurring during the dynamic trial fitting and test phase.
5) Carry out the static alignment and dynamic trial fitting of the prosthesis. If required, mark a
flexible seating area for the definitive socket on the check socket.
6) Allow the patient to test the prosthesis for a maximum of 4 weeks.
7) After a successful test phase, send the complete check socket with inner socket to the manu­
facturer of the outer socket. Make sure that the adapter cannot be detached from the check
socket in transit.
5.2 Prosthetic alignment with definitive socket
INFORMATION
Definitive sockets must not be reworked.
1) Perform the bench alignment of the prosthesis with the definitive socket.
2) Carry out the static alignment and dynamic trial fitting of the prosthesis.
3) Finish the prosthesis.
6 Use
6.1 Caring for the skin
NOTICE
Contact with oils, salves, lotions or other products that contain oils or acids
Insufficient stabilisation due to loss of material functionality
Do not expose the product to oils, salves, lotions or other products that contain oils or acids.

Derma Prevent damages inner sockets made of silicone
Do not use Derma Prevent for skin care.
► For skin care use a pH neutral, water-based and unscented skin lotion (e.g. ProComfort Gel).
► In consultation with your doctor, you can use e.g. Allpresan® diabetic foam cream intensive to
alleviate sore areas.
6.2 Donning the prosthesis
► Slide your residual limb into the prosthetic socket. Use a donning aid if necessary.
Information for inner sockets that are worn directly on the skin
CAUTION
Prosthetic socket is not in full contact with residual limb
Skin irritation due to accumulation of liquid in prosthetic socket
Wear the prosthetic socket directly on the skin.
If you detect any air pockets take the prosthetic socket off and don it again.
7 Cleaning
CAUTION
Improper cleaning of the inner socket
Skin irritation, formation of eczema or infections due to contamination with germs and damage
to the inner socket
Clean the inner socket daily according to the instructions given in this section.
