5 Preparing the product for use

Injuries due to changes in or loss of functionality
The product may only be installed by trained, qualified personnel.

Improper thermal treatment of the silicone socket
Damage due to thermal overloading
Do not carry out any heat treatment at a temperature above 120 °C (248 °F).

Prevent the silicone socket from being damaged by sharp-edged objects to avoid functional

impairment.
5.1 Alignment with check socket
CAUTION
Lack of stability due to cutting out the seating area
Risk of injury due to breakage of load-bearing components
Do not cut out the seating area of the thermoplastic prosthetic socket.

CAUTION
Heat treatment of the thermoplastic prosthetic socket
Risk of injury due to contact with hot material
Do not carry out any heat treatments on the prosthetic socket when the patient is wearing it.
►
Allow the prosthetic socket to cool after heat treatment.

the 646D300* technical information.
1) Check the fit of the check socket on the patient.
2) Perform the bench alignment of the prosthesis with the check socket.
3) Position the adapter on the check socket as described in the instructions for the adapter.
