Air filter cleaning and
replacement
You can clean the air filter with compressed
air.
Replace the air filter, if necessary.
If the vehicle has been driven mainly in
dusty areas, clean the air filter at intervals of
5,000 km (3,000 miles).
Wipe the air filter case and seat with a soft
cloth to remove dirt or dust.
CAUTION
• Do not drive with the air cleaner ele•
ment removed. Failure to observe this
will cause excessive engine wear.
• Do not oil the element. It may reduce
the effectiveness of the element.

Unlock the two clips, pull up the air duct and
remove the case.

Install the air cleaner element and place the
case. Latch the two clips. Push the air duct
and insert the tube to the air filter.
