Normal driving tips

WARNING
Slow down when driving In crosswind
or on rough road.
CAUTION
• Do not rest your foot on the clutch
pedal while driving, or do not hold
your vehicle with the clutch while stop­
ping on an upgrade. This could cause
clutch overheating.
• Do not drive with the shift lever in
neutral. This could cause transmis­
sion overheating.
• Do not rest your hand on the shift lever
knob while driving. The transmission
could accidentally be shifted into an­
other range. Also, this could cause
transmission damage.
• Do not race the engine when shifting.
This could cause engine overheating.
• Do not drive through water if water
depth is higher than the bottom of the
wheel rims. Drive slowly when driving
through water.

Economical driving tips

• Accelerate your vehicle gently. Avoid
unnecessarily sudden acceleration or
braking. Keep the same speed as long
as possible.
• Avoid unnecessary high speed driving.
• It is advisable to drive in the top gear
when driving in high speed. This will help
reduce engine noise level as well as fuel
consumption.
• Time your driving to help the vehicle
move
as long as possible since moving
the vehicle from a stop requires more
fuel.
• Drive sensibly and maintain your vehicle
properly (refer to Section 12). They will
keep originally-designed performance
of your vehicle as well as

Brake system

Tandem master cylinder brake system
Your Perodua is equipped with a tandem
master cylinder brake system. Each brake
system functions independently.
If either of the brake system should fail, the
other system still works. However, the brake
system requires increased force and the
stopping distance will tie increased.
Furthermore, the brake warning light should
glow.
WARNING
Do not continue driving with a mal­
functioning brake system.
Have the system checked Immediately.
