Air conditioner switch
Turn ON the air conditioner switch to cool or
dehumidify air. To turn ON the air condi­
tioner, push the switch with the blower fan
turned "ON". To turn it off, push the switch
again. The indicator light glows when the air
conditioner is ON.
NOTE
• When the ambient temperature Is near
°
c, dehumidifying function will not
0
work.
• Rapidly-cooled air may cause fog from
outlet ports. This is not malfunction.

• For specific model, if the engine cool­
ant temperature rises excessively
when the vehicle is driven on a long
grade etc. with the air conditioner on,
the air conditioner will turn off auto­
matically.
• For specific model, when you depress
the accelerator pedal fully to get quick
acceleration, etc., the air conditioner
compressor is turned off temporarily
so that acceleration performance may
be enhanced.
WARNING
As the engine Is equipped with the fast
Idle device, while the vehicle Is Idling,
engine Idling speed Is slightly in­
creased with the air conditioner on.
Special attention must be paid In
starting or stopping the vehicle.
Operation tips
• Make sure that the air inlet ducts in front
of the windshield are not blocked by
leaves or other obstructions.
• Do not move the temperature control
lever to the coldest position with the air
outlet control lever in,�. or <iw, and the
air conditioner on in extremely humid
weather. The temperature difference
between outside air and the windshield
could cause the windshield to be misted,
·which may block your vision.
• Do not move the air intake control lever to
� with the air outlet control lever in
,,;, ,�. or <iw. The glass is prone to mist
in this setting.
• Do not use <iii) to cool in high humidity.
This could cause the windshield to be
misted.
• If your vehicle has been parked for a
long time in intense sunlight and inside
temperature is extremely high, turn on
the air conditioner with the windows fully
open.
After the vehicle interior becomes cool,
close the windows and set the tempera­
ture to your desired level.
