4. Pull the dipstick out and check the fluid
level to see if it is within the "HOT" range.
5. If the oil level is too low, add the speci­
fied fluid through the oil filler tube slowly.
Do not overfill.
For recommended automatic transmis­
sion fluid, see Section 14.
6. Securely insert the dipstick.
7. Wipe off any spilt fluid.
CAUTION
• If the fluid is dirty, have the fluid
changed by an authorized Perodua
dealer.
• If the fluid level is too low, or if fluid
decreases noticeably, have the sys­
tem checked by a Perodua dealer.
WARNING
• Be careful not to burn yourself as
the fluid may be hot.
• Never touch or come close to the
moving parts while the engine is
running, to help reduce the risk of
serious bodily injury.
NOTE
• The level at a time when the fluid is
cold (20 - 30

C) should be used. only
as a reference value.
Check the fluid level again at normal
operating temperature (70 - ao
correct level.
• If the level differs between on the front
side and on the back side of the dip­
stick, the check should be made at a
side where a lower level is indicated.

Check the power steering fluid level as
follows.
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and
apply the parking brake.
2. Keep the fluid temperature at about 20
3. Ensure that the steering fluid level in the
reserve tank is between the MAX and
MIN marks.
4. Slowly add specified clean fluid if the
level is too low. Do not overfill.
