STARTER/TRANSMISSION
Drive in new bearings using a bearing
installer.

• Apply engine oil to the bearings before
installation.
• Drive in bearings squarely.
Special
Bearing installer
Install a new left countershaft oil seal in the
left crankcase and grease the oil seal lip.
RIGHT CRANKCASE
Drive the mainshaft and countershaft
bearings out of the right crankcase.
Drive in new bearings using a bearing
installer.

• Apply engine oil to the bearings before
installation.
• Drive in bearings squarely.
