On power up the thermo-hygrometer performs a series of self-tests to check the
operation of all its components and each of the sensors. The results of the
self-tests are reported on the screen. Normally, all tests report 'OK'. Below is a
table of error messages and recommended actions to correct the error. Often
these errors can be corrected by completing the actions listed. A failure of one
or more component causes error messages to be reported.
Contact a Hart Scientific Authorized Service Center for assistance (see Section
1.3).

Self-Test Error Messages

SYSTEMS: SERIAL PORT FAILURE
RF:DETECTED
RF: NOT DETECTED
LAN: FAIL or INVALID
BATTERY: FAILURE
BATTERY: NOT INSTALLED
CLOCK: INVALID TIME
MEMORY DATA: EMPTY
MEMORY DATA: QUESTIONABLE
SENSOR <n>: NOT ATTACHED
SENSOR <n>: LOCKED
SENSOR <n>: CALIBRATION INVALID
SENSOR <n>: CALIBRATION EXPIRED Contact an Authorized Service Center to have the sensor
POWER DOWN: CALCULATION
ERROR
POWER DOWN: SOFTWARE RESET
POWER DOWN: HARDWARE RESET
BUTTONS: <button name>...

Start-up Error Messages

Error messages may appear after the self-test. If this happens, contact a Hart
Scientific Authorized Service Center for assistance.
Cycle the power. Contact an Authorized Service Center.
Configuration memory lost. Contact an Authorized Service
Center
RF device not installed or failed. Contact an Authorized Service
Center
LAN port failed. Contact an Authorized Service Center
Cycle the power. Contact an Authorized Service Center.
Check that a battery is properly installed. Replace the battery.
Set the time/date.
Contact an Authorized Service Center.
Cycle the power. Contact an Authorized Service Center.
Check that the sensors are properly inserted into their sockets
or attached with an undamaged extension cable.
Attach the correct sensor or, if a new sensor is to be used, un-
lock the sensor using CHANNEL-SENSOR LOCK.
Cycle the power. Try a different sensor. Contact an Authorized
Service Center.
recalibrated. Check the time/date to make sure it is correct.
Contact an Authorized Service Center.

Check to make sure the buttons are not being pressed. Cycle
