Troubleshooting
In case you run into difficulty while operating the thermo-hygrometer, this sec-
tion provides some suggestions that may help you solve the problem. Below are
several situations that may arise followed by possible causes and suggested ac-
tions you might take.
11.1
Troubleshooting
The following sections list possible situations, their causes, and suggested
actions.
11.1.1
Incorrect temperature or humidity reading
While attempting to measure temperature or humidity, the display shows an in-
correct value or no value at all ( . . . . . . . . . ).
• Check to see if the sensor is properly seated in the correct sockets.

Missing or Scattered Graph Data
If a graph is empty or consists of only scattered points, it may be due to data re-
cording not being enabled or the recording period set too large. See Section
7.3.1.1, Record Setting.

Blank screen
The screen appears blank when switched on.
Ensure the power adapter is attached properly and the power is switched on.
This problem can also be caused by improper adjustment of the contrast. After
the power is switched on allow the thermo-hygrometer at least one minute to
complete its self-test and power on sequence. Then, try to adjust the contrast
using the ud buttons.

Error message at power up
The thermo-hygrometer reports an error during the power up self-test.
The display will remain inoperable during a power outage to preserve battery
life. Measurements will continue to be recorded as long as the battery has a
charge.
