IP HANDSET OPERATIONS

Note: This equipment uses SIP/RTP for data transfer and calls. These protocols are
not encrypted and may be intercepted in an unsecured environment. Ensure that the
network used for connection is secure and monitored in order to prevent interception
of important data/information.
2.1

IP Handset

You can call someone on land or ship-to-ship from the IP Handset.
2.1.1

How to place a call

There are three methods to place a call:
1) Input a number (or speed dial number) of a party to call.
2) Select a number from the [History] screen.
3) Select a number from the [Contacts] list.
To call an external number, follow the procedure below when the main screen shows
the
icon in green color on the status bar.
How to input a number
To input a number from the IP Handset, do the following:
1. Remove the IP Handset from the cradle, and input a number (maximum 28 num-
bers) from the main screen.

Ship-to-ship (Inmarsat terminal)
Internal call
Speed dial
Note 1: To erase a number that is input wrong, press the
