5.4 System Setup Menu

5.4.1 Output Setup

Select the appropriate probe module.
Select OUTPUT 1–4
SELECT SOURCE
Select the device to associate with the output.
SET PARAMETER
Select the appropriate displayed parameter.
SET FUNCTION
Select LINEAR CONTROL for current output to track the measurement value. Select PID CONTROL for the sc1000 to
operate as a PID controller.
SET TRANSFER
Each analog output is normally active, responding to the measured value of its assigned parameter. However, during
calibration each output can be transferred to this preset transfer value.
SET FILTER
Select the reaction time.
SCALE 0 mA/4 mA
Select 0 mA or 4 mA for minimum current (outputs will be set to 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA).
SET LOW VALUE
This value is to be displayed by the sc1000 controller system at the lowest measured value (in the unit for the measured
value for the probe). Sets the measurement associated with the low mA value.
SET HIGH VALUE
This value is to be displayed by the sc1000 controller system at the highest measured value (in the unit for the measured
value for the probe). Sets the measured value associated with the 20 mA value.
ON ERROR MODE
Select between HOLD and SET TRANSFER. During calibration, the outputs can remain active, help, or transferred to a
preset mA value.
CURRENT
Displays the active mA value for the output.
VERSION—The version of the software is displayed.
LOCATION—Information on the location of the device can be edited.

The System Setup menu is dependent on the configuration of the system. The system
should automatically find newly installed expansion options. To manually scan the system
for new expansion options, refer to

Field-bus Card Setup, Device Management, Display Settings, and Browser Access.
