Notch Filter
SSB, CW, RTTY, AM, and FM modes
The IC-905 has Auto Notch and Manual Notch
functions.
Auto Notch automatically attenuates beat tones,
tuning signals, and so on. It can be used in the SSB,
AM, and FM modes.
Manual Notch attenuates beat tones, tuning signals,
and so on by manually adjusting the filtering
frequency. It can be used in the SSB, CW, RTTY, and
AM modes.
D Selecting the Notch filter type
1. Push .
• Opens the FUNCTION screen.
2. Touch [NOTCH].
L Touching [NOTCH] changes between "AN (Auto
Notch)," "MN (Manual Notch)," and OFF.

When Manual Notch is selected, adjust the filtered
frequency.
1. Push
• Opens the FUNCTION screen.
2. Touch [NOTCH] for 1 second.
• Opens the NOTCH menu.
• The Manual Notch is automatically selected, and

Notch filter width from "WIDE," "MID," and "NAR."
