SET MODE
The assignable key functions for Remote MIC Key
Function
---
No function
Push to increase the frequency (in 50 Hz
steps*), Memory channel, repeater, or
select the next station call sign.
UP
* When the Tuning Step function is ON,
increases the frequency in the selected
Tuning Step.
Push to decrease the frequency (in 50 Hz
steps*), Memory channel, repeater, or select
the previous station call sign.
DOWN
* When the Tuning Step function is ON,
increases the frequency in the selected
Tuning Step.
Push to increase the frequency (in the
UP
selected Tuning Step), Memory channel,
(VFO: kHz)
repeater, or select the next station call
sign.
Push to decrease the frequency (in the
DOWN
selected Tuning Step), Memory channel,
(VFO: kHz)
repeater, or select the previous station call
sign.
VOL UP
Push to increase the volume level.
VOL DOWN
Push to decrease the volume level.
XFC
Hold down for 1 second to monitor signals.
CALL
Push to select the Call channel mode.
• Push to select the VFO mode and the
Memory mode.
VFO/MEMO
• Hold down for 1 second to copy the
Memory channel contents to the VFO.
DR
Push to turn the DR function ON or OFF.
In the DR screen
FROM/TO
(DR)
Push to select "FROM" or "TO."
Push to directly select the Home Channel
that is set to the selected mode (VFO/
Home CH
Memory) or DR screen.
LWhile in the Call channel mode, or when no
Home CH is set, an error beep sounds.
In the VFO mode
• Push to increase an operating band.
BAND/GROUP
• Hold down for 1 second to recall the
UP
Band Stacking Register contents.
In the Memory mode
Push to increase the Memory group.
In the VFO mode
• Push to decrease an operating band.
BAND/GROUP
• Hold down for 1 second to recall the
DOWN
Band Stacking Register contents.
In the Memory mode
Push to decrease the Memory group.
• Push to start the previously selected
scan. While scanning, push to stop the
SCAN
scan.
• Hold down for 1 second to open the
SCAN SELECT screen.
Description
Function
Push to set the frequency to be skipped
Temporary
while scanning. The selected frequencies

are temporarily skipped for faster scanning.
Push to announce the frequency,
operating mode, or call sign.
L In the VFO, Memory, or Call channel
mode, the frequency and the operating

mode are announced.
L In the DR screen, the call sign is
announced. If Simplex is selected, the
frequency is announced.
• Push to select the operating mode.
MODE
• Hold down to toggle USB and LSB, CW
and CW-R, or RTTY and RTTY-R.
RF Power
Push to adjust the transmit output power.
In the SSB, AM, FM, DV, or ATV mode
• Push to transmit the voice audio
Voice/Keyer/
recorded on the SD card once.
RTTY Memory 1
• Hold down for 1 second to repeatedly
transmit the voice audio.
LThis key function can also be used on the DR
screen.
Voice/Keyer/
LIf the voice audio is not saved in the Voice TX
RTTY Memory 2
memory (T1 ~ T4), this function is disabled.
In the CW mode
• Push to transmit the Keyer memory
content once.
Voice/Keyer/
• Hold down for 1 second to repeatedly
transmit the memory content.
RTTY Memory 3
LIf the Keyer memory content (M1 ~ M4) is not
entered, this function is disabled.
In the RTTY mode
Push to transmit the RTTY memory
Voice/Keyer/
content once.
RTTY Memory 4
LIf the RTTY memory content (RT1 ~ RT4) is
not entered, this function is disabled.
Push to transmit a 1750 Hz Tone.
T-CALL
(Only for European version.)
In the DV or DD mode
• Push to display the RX History list.
RX>CS
• Hold down for 1 second to set the last calling
station's call sign to "TO" (destination).
• Push to turn the Tuning Step function
ON or OFF.
TS
• Hold down for 1 second to open the TS
screen.
• Push to sequentially call up the
contents in the Memo Pads.
MPAD
• Hold down for 1 second to save the
displayed contents into the Memo Pad.
• Push to turn the Split function ON or OFF.
SPLIT
• Hold down for 1 second to turn ON the
Quick Split function.
• Push to select the VFO A or VFO B.
• Hold down for 1 second to set the
A/B
displayed VFO's frequency to the VFO
that is not displayed.
