Troubleshooting
Problem
Cannot transmit voice memories.
Cannot save TX/RX histories or
sound data.
"No SD Card is found." is displayed.
"– No File –" is displayed on the
FIRMWARE UPDATE screen.
The touch screen is not working
correctly.
The current time is reset.
Even when turning ON the
NTP function, the clock is not
automatically set.
"The RF unit is not detected. Check
connection and restart the IC-905." is
displayed.
"A communication error occurred
between the controller and the RF
unit. Please restart the IC-905." is
displayed, even when restarting the
transceiver.
In the ATV mode, the received or
transmitted video are corrupted or
distorted.
Possible cause
"DATA OFF MOD" is set to "USB"
or "LAN" by control from an external
device, and so on.
An SD card is not inserted.
An SD card is not recognized.
The firmware file is in an incorrect
folder.
The firmware file name is different.
The SD card is not formatted.
The touched point and the detected
point may be different.
The transceiver has not been used
for a long time, with the DC power
cable disconnected.
The transceiver is not connected to
the Internet.
The transceiver IP address is wrong.
The RF unit is not connected
properly.
A communication error occurred
between the controller and the RF
unit due to interference with the
radio waves transmitted from other
devices.
The controller cannot communicate
with the RF unit.
When inputting PAL or SECAM video,
"ATV Audio Sub Carrier Frequency"
is set to "4.5 MHz," and interference
occurs with audio and video signals.

Solution
Set "DATA OFF MOD" to "MIC,USB"
(default) or "MIC."
Insert an SD card.
Confirm that an SD card is inserted.
Reinsert an SD card.
Exchange with a new SD card.
Copy the firmware file into the IC-905
folder.
Download the firmware file again.
Format the SD card.
Calibrate the touch screen on the
OTHERS screen.
Connect the transceiver to the power
source to charge the backup battery
of the internal clock.
Confirm the network settings.
Turn ON the DHCP function to
automatically get the IP address, or
set the correct IP address.
Reconnect the RF unit properly.
Take measures against the
interference.
Reinstall the firmware update.
Change the input device to a one
that uses a compatible video format
standard.
Set "ATV Audio Sub Carrier
Frequency" to other than "4.5 MHz."
