MAINTENANCE AND
TROUBLESHOOTING
2)
Troubleshooting
Symptom
1. Power does not turn
on.
2. Output axis rotates
when power is
turned ON to cause
alarm lamp to light.
3. Alarm F will light
when power is
turned on.
4. No communication
with a personal
computer or a
dialog terminal.
5. Load table vibrates.
6. Alarm 0 turns on.

Table 11.3 Troubleshooting (1/4)
Probable Cause
Voltage is not measured
(confirmed by a tester).
Fuse inside the driver is blown.
Gain adjustments are not made.
Actuator and driver have different
serial numbers. [H]
Cable between the actuator and
driver is broken or the connectors
are loose.
Wrong UVW connection
The resolver cable between the
actuator and driver may be broken
or the connectors may be loose.
Actuator and driver have different
serial numbers. [H]
Excessive moment and lateral
loads are applied to the actuator.
Communication cable is broken or
connectors are loose.
Baud rate of a personal computer
does not match that of the driver.
Communication cable wiring is not
correct.
Gain adjustments are not
sufficient.
Load is not fixed tight.
Load does not have enough
rigidity.
Friction load is large.
Loose connection of actuator
NC program error
Program number setting input has
been made while writing a
program.
An unknown program number is
selected and started.
Started in servo-off mode (G12P0)

Countermeasures
Check the power system.
Repair the driver.
(Refer to (11.1). (3). ①.)
Adjust gain (Refer to Chapter 9.
GAIN ADJUSTMENTS).
Use the driver and actuator
having the same serial number.
[H]
Check the cable connector.
Change the wring connection of
the cable.
Check the cable connectors.
Use the driver and actuator
having the same serial number.
[H]
Check the equipment alignment.
Remove excessive load.
Check the cable connectors.
Confirm communication
specifications such as baud rate
and parity.
Correct the wring connection of
the cable.
Adjust gain (Refer to Chapter 9.
GAIN ADJUSTMENTS).
Tighten bolts.
Increase load rigidity by
reinforcement and to adjust gain
smaller.
Install dummy inertia, and use
anti-vibration filter
Reduce friction load.
Retighten the bolts.
Review the NC program.
DO NOT turn on number setting
while writing a program.
Change the program number or
write a program.
Turn the servo on (G12P100)
before a rotation code.
