Using Components Safely

When using Keysight 5530 Laser Calibration System electronic
components—5519A/B Laser Head, E1735A USB Axis Module, E1736A
USB Sensor Hub, E1737A Material Sensor, and E1738A Air sensor—
observe the following guidelines:

Before connecting a component, make sure the component and cable are in
good condition.
If a sensor cable is cut, the cable must be replaced before use.
Be sure the cables do not present a hazard to people working in the area.
Also, place all cables so they will not be damaged by equipment or people.
Hold a cable by its connector (the plug, not the cord) when connecting or
disconnecting it.
Never force a connector into a port. If they do not join easily, they do not
match. Make sure the connector and port match and that the connector is
properly aligned.
After inserting a connector into a port, do not twist or turn it.
Do not open the casings on the electronic components.
