If Strength bar is less than 60 percent, realign the optics by repeating steps 1
through 5. If this fails to increase the signal, follow these steps:

Remove the interferometer assembly. Using only the retroreflector, the
beam strength should be near 100 percent. If it is not, then:

Check the retroreflector lens for oily films, fingerprints, or physical
damage.
