S-SATA 3.0 Port
There is one S-SATA port located at SATA5 on this motherboard. The SATA5 port can be
used with Supermicro SuperDOM which is an orange SATA DOM connector with power pins
built in, and do not require external power cables. SATA5 port is also compatible with regular
SATA HDDs or SATA DOMs that need external power cables. Refer to the table below for
pin definitions.
Disk-On-Module Power Connector
The Disk-On-Module (DOM) power connector at JSD2 provides 5V power to a solid-state
DOM storage device connected to a SATA port. Refer to the table below for pin definitions.
PCIe/SATA Hybrid M.2 Slots
This motherboard has two PCIe/SATA M.2 slots (M.2-HC1 and M.2-HC2). M.2 allows for
a variety of card sizes, increased functionality, and spatial efficiency. The M.2 slots on the
motherboard support PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 NVMe SSDs in the 2280 and 22110 form factors.
