Assembling the note validator/recycler

Before the note validator/recycler can be installed in the host machine the acceptance module has to be installed on
the top of the note validator/recycler chassis. This chapter and user guide only describes the assembly of the note
validator/recycler. Please refer to the separate Integration Manual to learn how to install the note validator/recycler
in the host machine.
Please pay attention to the following safety instructions when assembling the device:
To install the acceptance module you need the interlock system key:

Open interlock system and remove cash box (see chapter 4.3.3 "Removing and reinstalling cash box", p. Error! Bookmark not
defined.).

Pull green shockblocker lever [1] as far as it will go (to second stop) [A].

Open spine flap (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).

Carefully place acceptance module on the top of the chassis [B] with its hood outside the chassis and its slotted holes [2] aligned with
the chassis' pan-head pins [3].

Heavy object. The recycler/validator can weigh more than 25 kg (55 lb).
Risk of muscle strain or back injury.
Use lifting aids and proper lifting techniques when removing or replacing.
Electricity.
Risk of electricity hazard
Turn off power to the machine before installing the note validator's/recycler's acceptance module or
removing the note validator/recycler.
Risk of damage to the note validator/recycler
• The note validator/recycler PCB is fitted with components that can be damaged by electrostatic
discharge. Please observe ESD precautions for components exposed to the risk of electrostatic discharge.
Installers should be properly grounded.
• Keep water and other liquids away from the note validator/recycler. It is not suitable for use in areas
where there could be direct contact with water jets.
