5.2.1

Clearing banknote jam in acceptance module's feeder

To retrieve the jammed note(s) and return functionality to the machine please
check the note validator's/recycler's feeder for jammed notes:

Open both acceptance module flaps (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and
closing chassis flaps", p. 20).

Carefully withdraw the banknote jammed [A], if present.

Close top and then rear flap again (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and
closing chassis flaps", p. 20).
If the jammed banknote cannot be removed from the feeder, continue with
clearing the jam in the passage to the spine (see chapter 5.2.2 "Clearing
banknote jam in spine", p 41) or in the passage to the cash box (see
chapter 5.2.3 "Clearing banknote jam in passage from acceptance module to
cash box", p. 42).
Please refer to the separate Service and Repair Manual whenever
a note jammed in the acceptance module cannot be removed .
