4.3.6

Removing and reinstalling acceptance module

Please pay attention to the following safety instructions when removing and reinstalling the acceptance module:
To remove the acceptance module, you need the interlock system key and cash box key.
The cash box may only be reinserted in rearmed condition! Meaning that it has to be opened and closed again before it can be
reinserted.
Before removing the cash box, please make sure, that you have access to either the key of the cash box you want to remove or
another rearmed cash box for replacement purposes.

Turn off power to host machine and disconnect note validator's/recycler's power and USB cable from machine.

Open interlock system and remove cash box (see chapter 4.3.3 "Removing and reinstalling cash box", p. 23).

Pull green shockblocker lever [1] as far as it will go (to second stop) [A].

Open spine flap (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).

Pull 6-pin plug [2] connecting the acceptance module to the spine [B].

Lift and hold rear green lever [3] [C] and

simultaneously, slide acceptance module back as far as it will go [C].

Heavy object. The recycler/validator can weigh more than 25 kg (55 lb).
Risk of muscle strain or back injury.
Use lifting aids and proper lifting techniques when removing or replacing.
Electricity.
Risk of electricity hazard
Turn off power to the machine and disconnect note validator/recycler before
removing and reinstalling the acceptance module.
Risk of damage to the note validator/recycler
• The note validator/recycler PCB is fitted with components that can be
damaged by electrostatic discharge. Please observe ESD precautions for
components exposed to the risk of electrostatic discharge. Installers should
be properly grounded.
• Keep water and other liquids away from the note validator/recycler.
