Note validator/recycler behavior during power-up and reset

After powering up the note validator/recycler, in a next step, the validator/recycler has to be reset by the host machine. Depending on the
number of note validator/recycler modules the reset sequence takes approximately 15 to 25 seconds. Resetting the note validator/recycler,
automatically starts a function self-test checking the electro-mechanical system for failure. You will hear the transport motors running, belts,
and diverters being tested. Banknotes found in the transport system during the self-test will be sent to the cash box.
The very first reset cycle may take up to one and a half minutes. This is to take the recycling modules from the initial
parked/transport condition to the operational position, more details on the recycling modules' parking can be found in the separate
Service and Repair Manual.
During power-up and reset the status LEDs indicate the following:
Process step
Powering up by
host machine
Reset triggered by

If the reset sequence does not start though triggered by the host machine, make sure that:
The power and USB cable is correctly connected.
All flaps are closed (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).
Each module is correctly inserted so that interlock system is correctly secured and interlock key is removed (see chapter 4.3.1
"Unlocking and relocking interlock system", p. 20).
(see chapter 5.1 "Locating and fixing errors using status LEDs", p. 37)
