5.2.2

Clearing banknote jam in spine

To retrieve the jammed note(s) and return functionality to the machine please check the passage from the
acceptance module to the spine and the spine for jammed notes:

Open spine flap (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).

Carefully withdraw the jammed banknote [A], if present and take care that the banknote does not fall behind
the note validator/recycler.

If there are no banknotes jammed:

Open rear acceptance module flap (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).
You also gained access to the passage from the acceptance module to the spine.

Carefully withdraw the banknote jammed [B], if present.

Close spine flap and rear acceptance flap again (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).
