This chapter describes:
• How to get validator/recycler ready for initial operation
• How validator/recycler behaves while it is powered up and reset
• How to operate note validator/recycler
– Unlock and relock interlock system
– Open and closing chassis flaps
– Remove and reinstall cash box
– Remove, open, and reinstall optional loading module (note recycler only)
– Remove and reinstall recycling modules (note recycler only)
– Remove and reinstall acceptance module
• How to handle cash
– Emptying cash box
– Refilling loading module (note recycler only)

Getting BNA6 Advance & BNR Advance note validator and recycler ready for initial operation
Before running the note validator/recycler for the first time, please ensure that:
The acceptance module is installed correctly and connected to the spine (see chapter 3.3 "Assembling the ", p. 16).
All flaps (one top flap and two rear flaps) are closed correctly (see chapter 4.3.2 "Opening and closing chassis flaps", p. 20).
Cash box and optional loading module(s) are inserted correctly so that the interlock system is locked (see chapter 4.3.1 "Unlocking and
relocking interlock system", p. 20),
Power and USB cable are connected correctly (see separate Integration Manual).
Chassis is grounded properly (see separate Integration Manual).
Host machine and note validator/recycler are powered up and the latter is reset (see chapter 4.1 "Getting BNA6 Advance & BNR Advance
note validator and recycler ready for initial operation", p. 18).
Please pay attention to the following safety instructions when operating the device:

Risk of damage to the note validator/recycler
• The note validator/recycler must not be operated in the presence of flammable gases, fumes, or water.
• Keep water and other liquids away from the note validator/recycler. It is not suitable for use in areas
where there could be direct contact with water jets.
