The function does not have any settings available in Local HMI or Protection and Control IED
Manager (PCM600).

Operation principle

The parameter MaxNoSetGrp defines the maximum number of setting groups in use to switch
between. Switching can only be done within that number of groups. The number of setting groups
selected to be used will be filtered so only the setting groups used will be shown on the Parameter
Setting Tool.
Switching to a different setting group takes effect immediately. There are two ways of activating a
setting group:
1. Set the ActiveSetGrp parameter accordingly, either from local or from remote.
2. Activate the corresponding input of the ACTVGRP function block.
Parameter setting groups ACTVGRP function has four functional inputs, each corresponding to one
of the setting groups stored in the IED. Activation of any of these inputs changes the active setting
group. Four functional output signals are available for configuration purposes, so that information on
the active setting group is always available.
More than one input may be activated at the same time. In such cases the lower order setting group
has priority. This means that if for example both ACTGRP4 and ACTGRP2 inputs are 1, setting
group 2 will be the one activated.
Every time a setting is changed, the output signal SETCHGD is sending a pulse. Activating or
deactivating test mode is made by changing a parameter, consequently this will also cause a pulse
on the SETCHGD output.
