Audible notifications, alert the user of problems. In order for the auditory notifications to be heard,
the maximum distance the user can move away from the notification should be determined based
on the ambient noise level.
The Horizon® P5 monitors various parameters during operation and uses an intelligent alarm system
to signal a malfunction of the concentrator. Mathematical algorithms and time delays are used to
reduce the likelihood of false alarms while ensuring proper notification of an alarm condition.
If a low or medium level alarm is triggered, the buzzer will emit two or three sounds depending on
the priority level, the LED next to the "alarm" button will flash or be steady, the alarm logo and the
error message will appear on the display.
