To use the parameter setting function of an IO-Link module, the profile is required.
The profile is a setting file that stores information required for the start-up, operation, and maintenance of devices supporting
the CC-Link family.
A module is added to "Module List" of "CC IE Field Configuration" window by profile registration to an engineering tool. For the
profile registration, refer to the operating manual for the engineering tool used.
Applicable devices
IO-Link devices and I/O devices incompatible with IO-Link can be connected in combination.
The IO-Link mode and SIO mode can be set separately on the channels of the IO-Link module.
■IO-Link mode
If the channels are set in the IO-Link mode, a maximum of eight IO-Link devices can be connected.
IO-Link communication is performed via the CQ terminal of the IO-Link connector.
■SIO mode (digital input, digital output)
If the channels are set in the SIO mode, a maximum of 16 signals are available. Each signal can be separately configured for
input/output.
Input/output is performed via the CQ and Q terminals of the IO-Link connector.
Both the input type and output type are negative common (source type).
• To change the operation mode, use the Channel n (CQ/Q) I/O switching command (RY10 to RY1F) and the
Channel n mode switching command (RY30 to RY37). ( Page 136 Channel n (CQ/Q) I/O switching
