Parking Assist PARKTRONIC is an electronic park-
ing assistance system with ultrasound. It monitors
the area around your vehicle using multiple sen-
sors on the front and rear bumper. Parking Assist
PARKTRONIC shows you the distance between
your vehicle and a detected obstacle visually and
audibly.
Parking Assist PARKTRONIC is only an aid. It is
not a substitute for your attention to the surround-
ings. Responsibility for safe maneuvering and
parking remains with you. Make sure that there
are no persons, animals or objects in the maneu-
vering area while you are maneuvering or moving
into / out of parking spaces.
In the standard setting, an intermittent warning
tone sounds from a distance of approximately
1.0
(0.3 m) to an obstacle in front and approx-
imately 3.3

continuous warning tone sounds from a distance
of approximately 0.7
