Configuring the instructions
4.4 Project preparation
Description
that indicate the end of a character.
The stop bits are appended to every
transferred character during trans-
mission.
Selection of the interface type that
the connected hardware (reader /
optical readers) uses.
Specifies the end detection of a
received frame:
•
On receipt of the end delimit-
er(s):
At the end of the frame, there
are one or two defined end de-
limiters. When data is received,
the end of the frame is recog-
nized when the configured end
delimiter(s) is/are received.
•
On receipt of fixed number of
characters:
The length of the received
frames is always the same.
When data is received, the end
of the frame is recognized when
the set number of characters
has been received.
•
After character delay time
elapses:
The frame has neither a fixed
length nor defined end delimit-
ers. The end of a frame is indi-
cated by a gap in the character
sequence. The size of this gap is
specified by the character delay
time.
Requirement: "EndDetection = 1"
Selection of the number of end
delimiters.
A maximum of 2 end delimiters can
be configured. When data is re-
ceived, the end of the frame is rec-
ognized when the selected end
delimiter combination is received.
