You can download the Garmin Explore app from the app
store on your phone (garmin.com/exploreapp), or you can
go to explore.garmin.com.
Garmin Golf
App
The Garmin Golf app allows you to upload scorecards
from your compatible Garmin device to view detailed
statistics and shot analyses. Golfers can compete with
each other at different courses using the Garmin Golf app.
More than 42,000 courses have leaderboards that anyone
can join. You can set up a tournament event and invite
players to compete. With a Garmin Golf membership,
you can view green contour data on your phone and
compatible Garmin device.
The Garmin Golf app syncs your data with your Garmin
Connect account. You can download the Garmin Golf app
from the app store on your phone (garmin.com/golfapp).

Connext

Connext devices deliver a connected cockpit solution. You
can wirelessly upload databases and flight plans from
your mobile device to your Connext device, and pair your
device with your watch to view aircraft information at a
glance.
Garmin Pilot app: The Garmin Pilot app allows you
to create flight plans and send them to your watch

Connext devices: You can pair your watch with
compatible Connext devices, such as a Flight Stream
510 device, to display data from your avionics on your

Connecting to the Garmin Pilot App
You can use the Garmin Pilot app to create flight plans
and send them to your MARQ watch. The Garmin Pilot app
is available for some mobile devices. See the app store
for your mobile device for availability and compatibility
information.
Your MARQ watch connects to the Garmin Pilot app
using Bluetooth technology. Go to
compatibility information.
1 Pair your phone with your MARQ watch

2 From the app store on your phone, install and open the
Garmin Pilot app.
3 Sign in to the Garmin Pilot app with your Garmin
account login credentials.
4 In the Garmin Pilot app, select Home > Connext > All
Devices, and select your watch.

Pairing a Connext Device

The first time you connect your MARQ watch to a
compatible Connext device, you must pair them using
Bluetooth technology.
1 Enter pairing mode on your Connext device.
2 Bring your watch within 10 m (33 ft.) of your device.

4 Select Aviation > Connext > Pair Connext > Status >

A prompt appears on your Connext device. After the
watch is paired with your device, a message appears
on your watch. Aircraft information from the Connext
device appears in the data screen loop or custom data
fields.
5 Select Start with FLY (optional).
Your Connext device connects automatically when you
start a flying activity on the watch, and the device is
active and within range.

Safety and Tracking Features

The safety and tracking features are supplemental
features and should not be relied on as a primary method
to obtain emergency assistance. The Garmin Connect app
does not contact emergency services on your behalf.
To use the safety and tracking features, the MARQ
watch must be connected to the Garmin Connect app
using Bluetooth technology. Your paired phone must
be equipped with a data plan and be in an area of
network coverage where data is available. You can enter
emergency contacts in your Garmin Connect account.

Assistance: Allows you to send a message with your
name, LiveTrack link, and GPS location (if available) to
your emergency contacts.
Incident detection: When the MARQ watch detects an
incident during certain outdoor activities, the watch
sends an automated message, LiveTrack link, and GPS
location (if available) to your emergency contacts.
LiveTrack: Allows friends and family to follow your races
and training activities in real time. You can invite
followers using email or social media, allowing them
to view your live data on a web page.
Live Event Sharing: Allows you to send messages to
friends and family during an event, providing real-time
updates.
NOTE: This feature is available only if your watch is
connected to a compatible Android phone.
GroupTrack: Allows you to keep track of your connections
using LiveTrack directly on screen and in real time.

Adding Emergency Contacts

Emergency contact phone numbers are used for the
safety and tracking features.
1 From the Garmin Connect app, select
