Upgrading/Replacing CRUs
This appendix describes how to upgrade and replace Customer Replaceable Units
(CRUs).
These following components are defined as CRUs and are replaceable in the field
by the customer or by a field technician:

Replacing a DCA

If you replace or upgrade your SuperLoader's DCA, you do not need to
reconfigure the settings for the DCA or for the SCSI bus.
You will need a Phillips screwdriver to replace a DCA.

Removing a DCA

Before you replace the SuperLoader DCA, you must turn off power to the
SuperLoader and disconnect the power and SCSI cables from the back of the
DCA. You must also make sure the tape drive does not contain a cartridge.
To unload a tape from the tape drive, see "Move a Single Cartridge" or "Eject a
Single Cartridge" in Chapter 4.
If the SuperLoader needs to remain powered on when you are replacing the drive,
you need to check that the backup software supports this feature.
