To change 802.1x security settings, choose options from the drop-down
lists or enter information in the entry fi elds. Click Submit 802.1x
settings to send the changes to the printer.

Chapter 4 — Using the EasyLAN Web Browser Interface
Description
Choose the Extensible Authentication Protocol type:
• TTLS (default)
• LEAP,
• PEAP
• OFF (disables 802.1x security)
Choose the inner authentication method:
PAP (TTLS only)
MSCHAPv2
EAP/MSCHAPv2
EAP/MD5
EAP/GTC
Specify the EAP identity passed in the clear. Th e
default is "anonymous."
Th e common name of the installed root CA certifi cate.
You can also specify a diff erent certifi cate (provided
that it has already been installed on the printer) by
entering the path to the new certifi cate in this fi eld. If a
pass phrase is required, add it to the end of the path in
the form of "@passphrase".
Specify common names. If you specify one common
name, the server certifi cate common name must
match this name for authentication. If you specify two
common names, the server certifi cate common name
must match at least one of them. Th e default is "" (any
common name).
Enables certifi cate validation. Specifi es whether or not
to check if the installed CA certifi cate is the root of the
server certifi cate.
