The Intermec Gateway communicates to the downline network
(data collection devices) through the Ethernet network. Before
you configure the Intermec Gateway, verify that the access
points are correctly installed and configured and that your
devices are communicating with the access points.
To connect the Intermec Gateway to the downline network, you
must connect the Intermec Application Server to the Ethernet
network, define the downline network, and configure the UDP
Plus devices or the WTP devices. Then, you must start the
Intermec Gateway and its related processes. For help connecting
the Intermec Application Server, see the Intermec Application
Server User's Guide.
