Setting Up the WTP Devices

Note: For best performance, your Trakker Antares UDP Plus
terminals should be running firmware version 8.01.13 or later.
If the TE 2000 application is not loaded, you must load it.
Contact your local Intermec sales representative to order the TE
2000 application.
You may still need to configure your terminals and computers to
communicate with the UDP Plus network and access points. For
help, see your device user's manual and your access point user's
manual.
Note: The Intermec Gateway supports dual session TE 2000 on
Trakker Antares terminals over UDP Plus. You must be running
TE 2000 version 6.8L and Trakker Antares firmware version
8.02.04 to use dual session TE 2000 on the Trakker Antares
terminals over UDP Plus. For help, see Step 5 on page 10.
Setting up the WTP devices requires two procedures:
• Configure the RF host name. Each Intermec Gateway on
your network must have a unique RF host name. The
terminals use this name to find the correct Intermec Gateway
to connect to.
• Configure the terminal session. Each terminal session must
have a unique terminal number. The Intermec Gateway uses
the terminal number of the incoming terminal session to
route the data to and from that session.
To configure the RF Host name in the Intermec Gateway
1 From the Intermec Gateway home page, click
Configuration. If a security screen appears, type
in the User Name field and
administrator
the Password field, and click OK. You must type
in lowercase.
2 In the configuration menu tree, expand the Downline
Network submenu.
3 Click WTP to configure the WTP parameters. For help
configuring the RF host name, see the online help.
