7.4.4 Important information

The following important information is contained in the instructions for use for the Kimba outdoor mobility bases
(reference number 647H1655=*):
Adjusting and securing the seat angle (seat tilt)
Adjusting the seating unit
Adjusting and securing the back support angle
Securing the product in a vehicle
Securing the user in the product

7.5 Care

CAUTION
Lack of or improper cleaning
Health hazard due to infections, damage to the product due to user error
► Clean the product at regular intervals.
► Do not clean the product with a jet of water or a pressure washer. The penetration of water can cause corro­
sion and subsequent malfunctions.
► To avoid contamination with germs, clean seat cushions and back support upholstery whenever they get
soiled.
► Check the driving behaviour of the product after cleaning it.

7.5.1 Cleaning

Clean the product regularly depending on the degree of soiling and frequency of use, at least 1x per month:

7.5.1.1 Cleaning by hand

1) Remove the pads and covers (see page 44, see page 45) and separate the covers from the pads.
2) Wipe the covers and pads with a damp cloth. Allow to dry.
3) If needed: Wash covers made from spacer fabrics at max. 40 °C.
INFORMATION: The covers may also be washed in a washing machine if they are put in a washing bag
or pillowcase.
Important information on cleaning
Clean plastic parts, frame parts and the chassis and wheels with a mild cleaner and a damp cloth. Dry thor­
oughly afterwards.
Do not spray the product with a pressure washer.
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, solvents or hard brushes etc.

7.5.1.2 Cleaning in a washing chamber

1) Remove the pads and covers (see page 44, see page 45). Follow the washing instructions for each article (see
page 43).
2) Wash the seating unit at a maximum temperature of 60 °C and for no longer than 10  minutes.
3) If needed: Remove all components in which water has accumulated.
4) Allow the seating unit to dry. To allow the water to drain, lay the sitting unit with the front side facing down.
INFORMATION: We recommend drying with compressed air.
5) If needed: Reinstall all components that were removed.
6) Before reusing or storing the seating unit, check that it is dry. Wipe wet components with a cloth.
7) Ensure that all labels (nameplate and warnings) are still legible. Have any labels that are not legible replaced.
Important information on cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaners, solvents or hard brushes etc.
