Insert the grab rail into the frame until the extension stops on the left and right locks. • Place NURMI on its rear wheels and unfold the front part of the frame as shown in illustration (3). • Make sure that the folding locks (3/A) are locked; if necessary, press them again To make sure they engage. -

Wheel-lock system The wheel-lock system enables the patient both to regulate braking and to prevent the NURMI walker from rolling away. To activate the wheel-lock system, squeeze the brake lever (13/A) until you hear the locking jaw (13/B) snap into place. -

Swivel lock The swivel lock is ideally suited for the early stage of the therapy with NURMI models when an increased maneuverability is not desired, since it would require substantial coordination skills of the user. The swivel lock offers either a rigid or a steerable model according to individual needs. To release the swivel lock, simply pull the retaining bolt (14/A) at the ball-ended knob and turn it halfway round until the locking pin stops on top of the supporting socket (14/B). -
