7.3.5.2 Seating solutions with trapezoid adapter

Ottobock offers a trapezoid adapter for individual seating solutions from other manufacturers.
Seating solutions with a trapezoid seating shell interface can be removed from or attached to the trapezoid adapter
in just a few steps:
Detaching the seating unit
1) Activate the wheel locks on both sides of the mobility base for seating shells (see Page 25).
2) Stand next to the seating unit and hold the seat by the back support with one hand.
3) Pull the release button on the trapezoid adapter down (see fig. 17, item 1).
→ The locking bolt will now release the adapter.
4) Slide the seating unit forwards and remove it (see fig. 17, item 2).
Mounting the seating unit
1) Activate the wheel locks on both sides of the mobility base for seating shells (see Page 25).
2) Place the seating unit (see fig. 18, item 3) on the trapezoid adapter. As you do so, slide the trapezoid seating
shell interface (see fig. 18, item 1) from the front onto the trapezoid adapter (see fig. 18, item 4).
3) Slide the seating unit backwards until the locking bolt on the trapezoid adapter audibly engages.
4) Check that the seat and the mobility base are securely connected. Do this by sliding the seat forwards,
for example.

7.3.6 Using the back support guide for seating shells (option)

The seating shell back is screwed to the guide plate of the back guide (see fig. 19, item 1). The back guide on the
cross tube allows the angle of the seating shell backrest to be adjusted independently:
1) Loosen the clamping screw on the back guide (see fig. 19, item 2).
2) Twist the back guide onto the cross tube.
3) Firmly tighten the clamping screw on the back guide (see fig. 19, item 2).
