7.4.2 Spoke protectors (option)

The self-propelled model can be equipped with a spoke protector.
The spoke protector prevents the fingers from getting caught in the wheel spokes.

7.4.3 Caster wheels and caster forks

The combination of caster wheels and caster forks ensures the ability to hold a straight line and navigate bends
securely.
The caster wheels and caster forks have been selected and adapted by the qualified personnel according to the
needs of the user.
Subsequent adjustments may be made only by qualified personnel.

7.4.3.1 Approach in case of stiffness

INFORMATION
Do not remove the caster wheels yourself.
If the caster wheels or caster forks still do not turn smoothly, inform the responsible qualified personnel.
In case of stiffness, clean and oil the caster wheel axles and the threaded axles on the caster forks:
Caster wheel axle
1) Remove dirt (e.g. hairs) from the caster wheel axle (see fig. 21, item 3).
2) Lubricate the caster wheel axle with a few drops of thin, resin-free oil (sewing machine oil).
Threaded axle on the caster fork
1) Pry off the protective cap on the caster head using a screwdriver (see fig. 21, item 1).
2) Remove dirt from the upper end of the threaded axle in the housing of the caster head (see fig. 22, item 1) and
the lower end of the threaded axle on the caster fork (see fig. 21, item 2).
3) Lubricate the upper and lower ends of the threaded axle with a few drops of thin, resin-free oil (sewing
machine oil).
4) Install the protective cap on the caster head.
