5 Delivery

5.1 Scope of delivery

The product is generally delivered fully assembled and with the drive wheels removed.
The scope of delivery includes:
• Preassembled mobility base for seating shells
• 2 rear wheels / drive wheels (screwed or plug-on)
• Instructions for use (user)
• Instructions for use for accessories (depending on equipment)
The seating shell/seating solution is adapted to the mobility base for seating shells on site by the qualified person­
nel.

5.2 Standard equipment

Standard equipment includes:
• Base frame with folding back support and abduction
• Seat inclination adjustment from -5° to +30° operated by gas compression spring
• Back support angle adjustment from +80° to +120°
• Push handles
• Interface adapter
• Drive wheels including drum brake for attendant
• Caster wheels

5.3 Options

The basic equipment may have been adapted to the needs of the user by adding options. For use of these options:
see Page 16 ff.

5.4 Storage

5.4.1 Storage during daily use

The product should always be stored so it is protected against external influences.

5.4.2 Storage during extended disuse

The product must be stored in a dry place. Specific information for extended storage: see Page 43.
It is not necessary to disassemble the product.
Maintain sufficient clearance from sources of heat. If the product is parked for an extended period of time or the
tyres overheat (e.g. in the vicinity of radiators or in case of exposure to strong sunlight behind glass), the tyres may
become permanently deformed.
During extended storage, the knee lever wheel lock on products with PU tyres (= tubeless tyres) must be released
since tyre deformation may otherwise result.

6 Preparing the product for use

6.1 Assembly

Falling, tipping over, serious injuries due to incorrect installation
► The safe adaptation of the seating solution from another manufacturer is the sole responsibility of the qualified
personnel providing the fitting. The qualified personnel must complete these tasks according to the
manufacturer's specifications.
► Have yourself instructed in the safe adaptation of the seating solution from another manufacturer.
► Ottobock assumes no liability in case of problems with seating solutions from other manufacturers.
