2 Product Description

2.1 Intended Use

The Anatomical SIT-Cast in combination with the casting apparatus and the pneumatic SIT-Cast casting device or
the SIT-Cast casting device is to be used exclusively for the plaster casting technique on patients with transfemoral
amputations. It serves to create a plaster negative of a thigh socket with anatomical casting to achieve an exact fit
around the ischium (tuber os ischii) under load.
The Anatomical SIT-Cast is a practical alternative to the manual plaster casting technique and can also be used on
site, e.g. in the clinic, at the patient's home, etc.

The Anatomical SIT-Cast is supplied as a base device
with 2 adjustable frontal supports (left / right), with
adjustable casting forms for the perineum area, for
installation on the 743G10 Pneumatic Sit-Cast Casting
Device or the 743G1 SIT-Cast Casting Device.
The 743Y50 Anatomical SIT-Cast is supplied with front­
al supports for the right and left. Select the correspond­
ing frontal support according to the patient's amputated
side.
