7 Reprocessing steps in accordance with ISO 17664 | 7.4 Manual Reprocessing

7.4 Manual Reprocessing

Never reprocess the device in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Malfunction and material damage.

7.4.1 Manual external cleaning

▶ Clean the DIAGNOcam Vision Full HD, the tip and the Fluorescence Cover
for at least 1 minute per item under running potable water at a flow rate of
2l/min and a temperature of 30 °C ± 5 °C (86 °F ± 9 °F).
▶ Clean gently, since excessive force may damage the camera.
▶ Do not bend the silicone legs of the tip apart during manual cleaning.

7.4.2 Manual internal cleaning

This product is not designed for manual internal cleaning.

7.4.3 Manual external disinfection

Incomplete disinfection.
Infection hazard.
▶ Only use disinfection procedures that are verified to be bactericidal, fungi-
cidal and virucidal.
Never reprocess the device in an ultrasonic cleaner.
Malfunction and material damage.
KaVo recommends the following products based on compatibility of the materi-
als. The microbiological efficacy must be ensured by the disinfectant manufac-
turer and proven by an expert opinion.
Approved disinfectants:
▪ CaviWipes and CaviCide made by Metrex (intermediate disinfection)
▪ Mikrozid AF made by Schülke & Mayr (liquid or cloths)
▪ FD 322 made by Dürr
Consumables required:
▪ Cloths for wiping the medical device.
